Life was good, or so I thought, until about a month before my 40th birthday at which time it felt as if an emotional dam had burst open.

To this day, when people ask me how I had the courage to change my entire life, my reply is that it wasn’t so brave. Life forced my hand.

During this period of mourning I knew that in spite of life's curve balls and crippling uncertainty, I was exactly where I needed to be.

Grief is a human experience to be honoured, and healing comes from holding space not just for pain, but also for joy.
